In order to adopt another online technology-based secured verification of digital academic documents, CBSE in technical collaboration with National Informatics Centre, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt of India has come up with a solution using Blockchain Technology named as “Academic Documents(ABCD)’ provides the mechanism for the educational institutes and companies to verify online the details of the claims of the applicants, who apply for the higher education or job. Hence most of the times, the institutes and companies insist on production of the original documents by the candidates. The verification of the correctness and genuineness of these documents with the concerned universities or boards requires considerable effort and processing time. One of the challenges faced in the admission process for higher education in India & abroad and selection of the candidates for the jobs, is the verification of the academic documents produced by the candidates. Thereafter, thisrepository is set to become one of the largest digital academic repositories in the world. Approximately 12 crore digital real time generated, digitally signed and PKI based QR coded academic documents such as Marks Sheets, Migration Certificates and Pass Certificates are available in this repository.ĭigitization of legacy records of Class X & XII from 1975 onwards is in progress and will be appended to the repository as soon as completed. 2004 to 2021 is available online for downloading of digital academic documents by students and verification by employers and higher education institutions. At present result data of Class X & XII examinees of eighteen(18) years i.e. This repository has been integrated with NEGD’s (National e-Governance Division) Digital Locker platform. To address this, CBSE developed first of its kind its own digital academic repository called ‘Parinam Manjusha’ and launched in 2016. Post declaration of results, there are two challenges, (i) instant availability of digital academic documents & (ii) verification of these documents for admission process for higher education in India & abroad and selection of the candidates for the jobs. CBSE’sAcademic Documents Chain has also been developed in technical collaboration with NIC. Whenever and wherever required National Informatics Centre (NIC) & NeGD, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY),Govt of India have extended best possible technical support to the CBSE. Various IT systems have been developed with the focus on the following:. In last six years many landmark IT systems have been developed inhouse and implemented for various functions and stakeholders of the Board. CBSE has taken many pioneering IT initiatives particularly in the domain of Examination.
